Sessions for Schools
At The MERL, we offer a range of facilitated learning programmes and school workshops, exploring countryside life in the past and its relevance to our lives today. Our sessions are specifically tailored to accommodate a wide range of schools, colleges, SEND and home education groups, and combine immersive and engaging activities like roleplay, object investigation, exploration of our fabulous galleries, and more.
This year, our sessions are now available online through our brand-new virtual school sessions, enabling students of all ages to enjoy the experience of a museum visit both from the classroom and from home delivered through secure online platforms! Presented live by a member of the Museum’s Learning and Engagement Team, our online sessions bring the museum directly into your classroom with activities led by our team, and feature new virtual elements such as short films, and objects from the museum’s collection.
