Sessions for Schools
At The Museum of English Rural Life we offer a range of facilitated learning programmes and school workshops, exploring countryside life in the past and its relevance to our lives today. Our sessions are specifically tailored to accommodate a wide range of schools, colleges, SEND and home education groups, and combine immersive and engaging activities like roleplay, object investigation, exploration of our fabulous galleries, and more.
As well as offering on-site workshops our sessions are also available online through our virtual school sessions, enabling students of all ages to enjoy the experience of a museum visit from the classroom. Presented live by a member of the Museum’s Learning and Engagement Team, our online sessions bring the museum directly into your classroom with activities led by our team, and feature new virtual elements such as short films, and objects from the museum’s collection.
