Half term at The MERL

There’s lots for families of all ages to do this February half term at The Museum of English Rural Life.

• Discover our Winter Family Activity Packs for all ages (from £2 per pack)
• Have a go at a variety of gallery and garden trails including our woodland brass rubbing trail
• Free hands-on make-and-take activities
• Try your hand at brass rubbing (subject to room availability)
• Explore the museum garden and enjoy our play-on tractor and wagon

Bookable events

• Museums, My Way (children with sensory requirements): a free session on Monday 17 February with extra accommodations for visitors with sensory requirements
• Green Explorers (families with children 5+): Learn about the great outdoors in these free learning sessions in the museum garden on Sunday 23 February

Refreshments

Enjoy a selection of hot & cold drinks and snacks from our café. You are also welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden.

Parking

Please note that the museum’s car park can fill up quickly at busy times. Parking is also available in the University car park on Acacia Road, adjacent to the museum. Please collect a permit from reception on arrival if parking in Acacia Road car park.
