FLEDGLINGS AT HOME
An online session for Under-5s and their grown-ups
Join us online for our Fledglings at Home session – 30 April
We invite you to play along with us at our new online ‘Fledglings at Home’ sessions, designed for under-5s and their grown-ups.
The session is 40 minutes long and led by Charlotte, a local teacher and Level 3 Forest Leader. These sessions will run weekly with changing themes. They will focus on exploration of the natural environment and the changing seasons and involve story-telling, craft activities and singing with connections to The Museum of English Rural Life and its topics and collections. Whether you are a previous Friday Fledglings regular or have never visited the museum before, let us welcome you to our community virtually.
We hope to continue these sessions until we are able to run our museum garden sessions once again.
- Book in advance, places are limited
- Most suitable for families with children aged 2- 5 but all are welcome to join in or play along
- Sessions will be live on Zoom, log in details will be shared the day before the session, along with details of any simple materials you may need.
During and following the session we will share an idea for a simple activity to be done during the following week. We’d love it if you could share your work with us in our Friday Fledglings Facebook group. There is no expectation that you will follow the set way of doing these creative activities and if your children use the resources in a totally different way, we would love to see these too.
*Bookings will open on Eventbrite on Friday 23 April for this session.
Thank you to Arts Council England and the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund for making this possible.
