Summer Holidays at The MERL

VISIT THE MERL FOR FUN ACTIVITIES AND MORE!

This summer, enjoy workshops, trails, and activities inspired by ‘Our Green Stories’ and the MERL collections.

• Book a space on Museums, My Way (a ‘Summer’ themed session for neurodivergent visitors of all ages)
• Join us for a family picnic and farm event with Miller’s Ark (Free, drop-in, donations welcome)
• Book your space for our NEW Summer Screen -family films in the MERL garden! (£6 per person)
• Book your session for Climate Crusaders, a live animal show with Zoolab (Adults and children 2+ £6 each, under 2s free)
• Discover our new Summer Activity Pack for children aged 5+ (£4 per pack)

As always, there are lots of other activities for families to do in the museum and garden throughout the summer.

• Have a go at a variety of trails including our woodland brass rubbing trail
• Have fun on the fabulous wooden play-on tractor & wagon
• Meet the MERL chickens at home in their new henhouse

REFRESHMENTS

Enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and snacks from our cafe.

You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden. Picnic benches are available or bring a picnic mat and sit on the lovely, big lawn!

PARKING

Please note that the museum’s car park can fill up quickly at busy times. Parking is also available in the University car park on Acacia Road, adjacent to the museum. Please collect a permit from reception on arrival.
