Mr Walter William Field (1881-1961) was a carpenter and wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. He collected old tools connected with coach-building, ironwork from old Cotswolds wagons, drays and harrows, and field-labour implements – which he displayed in his private museum. Field retired in 1960 and the business closed.

The collection consists of the contents of Field’s workshop bought after his retirement. It consists of wheelwrighting and wood working tools including saws and patterns.
