Mathew Chaplin was a plumber in Newbury and later Speen (now part of Newbury) in Berkshire from the 1890s to 1920s. Dr J. J. Morland acquired these plumbers’ tools from Chaplin’s son’s house at Speen. The collection of tools came to the museum from Dr Morland in 1977.

This collection consists of Mathew Chaplin’s plumbing tools and equipment.
