About this event

There’s lots for families of all ages to do this Easter at The Museum of English Rural Life.

  • Enjoy our brand-new gallery Rat Trail!
  • Discover our Spring Family Activity Packs
  • Free hands-on make-and-take activities and brass rubbing in the Learning Studio
  • Have a go at a spring-themed trail in the garden
  • Have fun on the fabulous wooden play-on tractor and wagon
  • Bring a picnic or enjoy an Easter treat in the cafe!

Bookable sessions

  • Green Explorers, a monthly nature and bushcraft sessions for children aged 5+ (and accompanying adults), on Sunday 29 March
  • Book a space at our Museums, My Way session on Monday 30 March for neurodiverse visitors of all ages
  • Come make your own protest banner at our family workshop inspired by our current exhibition Voices of the Countyside and Radical Rural gallery trail. Workshops throughout the day 9 April, £3 per child (ages 7+)

Easter closure

The galleries, garden, café and shop will close over Easter from 3-6 April and reopen on Tuesday 7 April.
