Biscuit Weekend with Museums Partnership Reading

28th & 29th May 2022

Join Reading Museum and The Museum of English Rural Life (The MERL) as Museums Partnership Reading celebrates 200 years since the beginnings of Huntley & Palmers and Reading’s history as the Biscuit Town.

Celebrate National Biscuit Day this weekend with a range of hands-on activities for all the family, inspired by the amazing Huntley & Palmers collections across our town. The programme includes a hands-on introduction to biscuit art with design historian and artist Dr Ella Hawkins and we’ll also be launching our new Biscuit Town Family Activity Pack at both museums.

You can also visit the new Biscuit Town exhibition at The MERL and the Huntley & Palmers gallery at Reading Museum.

These events are part of The MERL and Reading Museum’s Arts Council funded programme, Museums Partnership Reading.
