Portrait of Frederick Spencer Chapman

Join us for our second season of exciting free online talks, where you’ll get the chance to dive deep into the world of art with our expert curators, conservators and scholars. Discover the stories behind the masterpieces, learn about the creative process, and ask all your burning questions.

This month we will be joined by Dr Henrietta Hammant, a museum anthropologist with a love of the polar regions. Get ready to dive deep into the world of art as Dr Hammant shares her insights into our portrait of Frederick Spencer Chapman (1907–1971), explorer, mountaineer, and later warden of Wantage Hall. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional and gain a new perspective.

Grab a glass of wine or a cup of tea, and don’t miss this unique opportunity to get a closer look at the art world from the comfort of your own home.
