There’s loads for families of all ages to see, do, and enjoy at The Museum of English Rural Life this Easter!

Special events

  • Banners Workshop: Thursday 9 April. Join your child in using arts, crafts, and imagination to make a campaign banner for your chosen cause! Inspired by our Radical Rural trail. £3 per child, suggested age 7+. Book now
  • Green Explorers: Sunday 29 March. Monthly nature and bushcraft sessions for children aged 5+. Book now
  • Museums, My Way: Monday 30 March. A relaxed session for neurodivergent visitors of all ages, co-developed with Autism Berkshire. Book now

Trails and creativity

  • Our brand-new Rat Trail: Explore our galleries with a new, reimagined version of our classic scavenger hunt. Learn more
  • Spring-themed garden trail: Journey through the garden and follow the clues
  • Spring Family Activity Packs: Enjoy arts and crafts at the museum or take them home. Find out more
  • Studio drop-in activities: Free hands-on make-and-take crafts plus brass rubbing

Play and refreshments

  • Outdoors: Let off steam in our safe, walled garden. Climb on our fabulous wooden play-on tractor, or meet our chatty chickens. Learn more
