Self-directed visits

Explore the Museum your own way with a free self-guided visit. On your arrival a member of staff will greet you, show you your allocated storage, the Museum’s facilities and your lunch space (if requested).

Advance booking is essential for all group visits over the size of 10. To avoid disappointment we recommend booking as far ahead as you can. If you are planning to bring a school group to the Museum we advise you to book a pre-visit beforehand to speak to a member of the Learning Team, explore our galleries, structure your visit and make the most from your group’s time in the Museum. Please see our resources for ideas of how you might like to plan your visit.
