Terms and conditions: gift shop voucher

  • This voucher may be redeemed in the onsite MERL gift shop and café only, during opening times. They cannot be redeemed on the online store.
  • It may be used for eligible retail goods, food, and beverages.
  • The voucher has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, in full or in part
  • The voucher is valid until the expiry date shown on the voucher.
  • The voucher must be presented at the point of payment.
  • Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts, discounts, promotions, or special offers unless specified.
  • If the full value is not used in a single transaction, no change will be given unless the voucher system allows for remaining credit (digital vouchers only).
  • Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Lost, stolen, defaced, or damaged vouchers will not be replaced.
  • The University reserves the right to refuse any voucher that appears to be photocopied, altered, duplicated, or otherwise suspicious.
  • Fraudulent use may be reported according to University policies.
  • If a voucher was issued in error or as part of a refunded purchase, the University may cancel or void the voucher.
  • The University is not responsible for vouchers purchased from unauthorised third parties.
  • Temporary closures of the museum, shop, or café (e.g., for university events, maintenance, or staff shortages) may affect voucher redemption.
  • The University reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • Changes will not affect vouchers already issued where doing so would disadvantage the customer’s statutory rights.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • These conditions do not effect your statutory rights under UK consumer Law.
