About this event

2017 marks the centenary of the founding of the Hogarth Press. This exhibition is a celebration of Leonard and Virginia Woolf’s Hogarth Press as a key intervention in modernist and women’s writing, and marks its importance to independent publishing and bookselling.

The exhibition features contemporary artwork responding to the centenary and original artwork, woodblocks, archival objects and documents from the archives of the Hogarth Press, held in the University of Reading’s Special Collections.

The exhibition accompanies the 27th annual conference on Virginia Woolf at the University of Reading from June 29th to July 2nd. For more information visit www.woolf2017.com
